DIDART understand feel the contemporary art

MAMbo - Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna is the project prime coordinator of the DIDART project, a project financed by the European Union – Programme Culture It stood out in the category Visual Arts as the best proposal for the contemporary educational approach.

DIDART was started in 2002 with the goal of creating a transnational network about the education to contemporary art so that the most significant experiences at European level could interact and meet each other.

The DIDART edition 2002-2003 has been characterised by the establishment of the network, by the realization of the first Documentation Centre about Art Education in Reggio Emilia and by the creation of the internet site www.didart.net, which collects and spreads out all the activities linked to the project and its research fields.

The Didart edition 2004-2005 wanted to promote and organise an itinerant educational exhibition by involving young artists and operators in the experimentation of innovative educational supports: Artist’s houses. The house wants to be a metaphor of the artist’s identity, which is strictly linked to the identity of his work. Thus it doesn’t include only his biographic dimension but an experience that is multiple and multisensorial.
Didart edition 2006-2007 wanted to promote a reflection and a deep debate about the figure of the museum educational operator and about the educational role of the museum in the contemporary society. The International workshop Didart started off; a space where young students and museum educators had confrontations and dialogues with the representatives of the partner institutions and with international experts in this field. The Workshop was held from 17 to 28 September 2007 at MAMbo and involved 20 young museum operators from different countries, selected by the Didart scientific committee.

Didart edition 2007-2009 created IDENTIKIT – a multimedia project about identity in the contemporary art. A video, an Internet site, a CD-Rom, a book, a questionnaire, an e-learning path, a collection of images to speak about identity and the contemporary artistic languages. The kit, coming out from a common project and shared by all the partners, is a multimedia educational support, which wants to foster the encounter of the young people with art by offering different visions about the topic of identity in the contemporary art, by collecting and comparing the experiences carried out in different social and cultural contexts.

ID-@RT EXPERIENCE
The Creative Identity of the Contemporary Artist

An e-learning path aiming at introducing the identity of the contemporary artistic creation by favouring the experience as educational approach to art. Three young artists, Massimo Bartolini, Eva Marisaldi, Alessandra Tesi, who are with their works in the collection of MAMbo, suggest to the users useful activities so as to understand their poetics and their experience in the contemporarity.

This project can be addressed to a class or a group of students who are requested to participate by re-elaborating in a creative and personal way the proposals they receive. The path is thought for students starting from an age of 16 years old.
To use the e-learning it’s necessary to ask the Educational Department the access key.
