Area Video

from March, 31 2011 on view:

Grazia Toderi (1963)
Rendez-vous, 2005

A video works and films screening area including, after an extensive archival research, a wide range of exhibits, from Futurism to the present day, ranging from artworks to documentation. This space – an integral part of the collection – has a manifold daily program, beginning with the extraordinary body of works included in Vertigo, MAMbo’s inaugural exhibition.

Alongside recent productions such as the Time Code project videos by contemporary Italian artists, images of the past brought back to light, such as the Settimana Internazionale della Performance, an event closely connected to the climate of artistic and political experimentation which opened the collection and which is hereby reconfirmed. In addition, the video area offers a cue to discussions and lectures with scholars and researchers, attesting the museum’s commitment to carry on its research, and opens to accommodate special projects such as events and festivals.
