The library is situated on the first floor of the Museum and it’s open to the public from Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

- The access is free for all users.
To enter into the reading halls the user must leave bags and other objects in the lockers positioned on the ground floor of the museum. The reading halls should be used to read the volumes and the magazines kept in the library and also to study.
Books and periodicals, protected with an anti-theft system, are positioned on open bookshelves and are easy to be found thanks to a functional division and clear signs. They can be directly picked up by the user who undertakes to leave them on the reading tables: the staff will put them back onto the bookshelves.
The library staff offers a reference service by giving information about the library services and offering assistance when bibliographic researches should be carried out.
- It’s possible to make copies according to the law in force. No book loan.
- There are computers to access the online catalogue (OPAC) of Polo Bolognese.
